Park County Sheriff’s Office deputy, Sergeant Frank Connors, was injured during a shootout with murder suspect, at a property on Country Road 71, just southeast of Guffey. Connors was grazed in the left arm. According to the PSCO, the injury was minor.
The Teller County Sheriff’s Office informed the PSCO Thursday, June 30, at 5:22 p.m., that a shooting had taken place at a property on CR 71 that afternoon. The victim, Morgan Vilters, 22, was shot six times. The victim was taken to Pikes Peak Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
