Boreas Pass Railroad Day, a return to the past was created by Flume editor
The towns of Como and Breckenridge host the 21st annual Boreas Pass Railroad Days Saturday, Aug. 20. Railroad Day is a joint effort of the Denver, South Park and Pacific Historical Society, South Park Ranger District,
South Park National Heritage Area, Como Civic Association, the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance and private citizens.
The event highlights the history of the Denver, South Park and Pacific Railroad with many historic buildings available for tours in both towns.
The DSP&P Railroad was the vision of Colorado Governor John Evans.
Governor Evan’s scheme was to have a railroad that ran from Denver all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
