8th Annual Mountain Bowls Fundraising Event


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Conifer, CO, August 30, 2016 - Mountain Resource Center will host the 8th Annual Mountain Bowls Lunch or Dinner fundraising event on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Aspen Ridge Church located at 27154 N Turkey Creek Road Evergreen, CO 80439. Lunch is 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Dinner is 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Mountain Bowls is Mountain Resource Center’s community focused and family friendly event, featuring soups prepared by local restaurants. Mountain Bowls will benefit Mountain Resource Center’s nonprofit with funds going towards high quality, integrated health and human services that improve the lives of people in mountain communities we serve. Bob Hawsey, with Thrivent Financial and his wife Jeannie are the Mountain Bowls Project Honorary Chairs.

Mountain Resource Center provides an array of community support in the areas of public benefit application assistance, veterans and workforce services, disaster relief and counseling services designed to improve the lives of people in the communities we serve. The nonprofit also provides Early Childhood Family Education and food pantry services. In 2015, more than 18,000 services were provided to 3,150 people.

The ticket price is $25.00 for adults, $15.00 for children ages 4 – 14, and those 3 years of age and under are free. Sponsorship opportunities include a $5,000 Title Sponsor; $2,500 Platinum Ladle Sponsors; $1,000 Gold Ladle Sponsors; $500 Silver Ladle Sponsors; and $250 Bronze Ladle Sponsors. Proceeds benefit Mountain Resource Center to support the services the Center provides to individuals and families in the rural communities of West Jefferson, Park, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties.

“The funds raised from Mountain Bowls are vital in ensuring that our neighbors in the surrounding communities can attain every opportunity to flourish. Your support can make this possible by facilitating greater independence that might otherwise be impossible,” said Lorye McLeod, CEO of Mountain Resource Center.

Mountain Resource Center is a community-based non-profit organization with a mission to provide high quality, integrated health and human services that improve the lives of people in areas we serve. We rely heavily upon donations and volunteers from the community to meet these needs and support our vision of Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

2nd ANNUAL BOWLS AFTER DARK EVENING GALA


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Conifer, CO, August 23, 2016 - Mountain Resource Center will host its Bowls After Dark Evening Gala on Thursday, October 13 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Evergreen Lakehouse located at 29612 Upper Bear Creek Rd, Evergreen, CO 80439. The Bowls After Dark Evening Gala will benefit Mountain Resource Center’s nonprofit with funds going towards high quality, integrated health and human services that improve the lives of people in mountain communities we serve.

The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer; where guests will have a chance to mingle, bid in the silent auction and wine pull, or step outside to enjoy majestic views from the deck of Evergreen’s crown jewel – the Lake House. The opening reception will be followed by an eclectic dinner of specialty soups and foods prepared by local area chefs. We are delighted to have former NFL Bronco, Reggie Rivers of Corporate Kickoff as our Emcee and Auctioneer for this Gala event. Bob Hawsey, with Thrivent Financial and his wife Jeannie are Bowls After Dark Honorary Chairs.
