Jeffco LWV invites public to Arvada Center for holiday show
The holidays aren’t far off so plan to launch the season in the Main Stage Theater at the Arvada Center, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada 80003-9985 on Saturday, Nov. 19, for the 2 p.m. World Premiere of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”
This event is a fund-raiser for the League of Women Voters of Jefferson County and tickets are discounted for this show only at $40 each. Seating is limited and the deadline for purchase is Monday, Oct. 14, or whenever it is sold out.
The show features original music and lyrics by David Nehls and is based on the book by Kenn McLaughlin. The story is set in 1969 as the Bright family prepares for their annual televised and highly anticipated Christmas variety show. In the midst of rehearsals, the family welcomes their eldest son Simon home from the war but the decorated hero is challenged by a return to civilian life.
For tickets, make your check payable to LWV Jeffco and mail to LWV Jeffco, 1425 Brentwood, Suite 7, Lakewood, CO 80214. Please include your name, telephone number, email address and the number of $40 tickets you want. Tickets will be picked up at the event.
