Jeffco LWV Book Club studies Middle East turmoil Oct. 15, 19
How has the dream of an Arab renaissance given way to a new age of sectarian wars and internecine discord? Robert F. Worth, author of “A Rage for Order: The Middle East in Turmoil, from Tahir Square to ISIS,” looks at how the utopian aspirations of the Arab Spring have devolved into the brutal divides we now see. The Jeffco LWV Nonfiction Book Club will read and discuss the vivid stories and portraits captured by Worth to try to learn the answer. Two discussion groups, both open to the public, are at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Westland Meridian library, 10695 W. 17th Ave., Lakewood 80215 and at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Arvada.
