StageDoor Theatre’s next production, from their adult company, is ‘The Rocky Horror Show.” This production opens Friday, Oct. 7, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 22, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7, 8, 14 and 21, and two performances Oct. 15 and 22 at 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
“The Rocky Horror Show,” better known for the cult classic movie ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and was written by Richard O’Brien.
O’Brien wrote both the book and lyrics of the stage show and the movie.
The movie had additional material written by Jim Sharman, who directed the stage show and the motion picture.
O’Brien had a great love of the 50s and 60s B movies of science fiction and horror fame and created this show as a combination of both of those genres.
