Help-Portrait Park County, Colorado - to make portraits for individuals and families who otherwise don't have the opportunity to have a portrait made.
Photos from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Platte Canyon Community Church, 4954 Co Rd 64, Bailey CO
What we do: Portraits made for those who could not afford one, and given free of charge. Folks will receive one 8x10 for sure, and hopefully an additional 5x7 and flash drive with image file and rights to make reprints if we have funds to provided it.
Why: It's a nice thing to do.
Who: Anyone who could not otherwise have portraits made. Open to people living in Park County and intermountain Jefferson County.
Use of photos: the person(s) will own the photo, and rights to do whatever they wish with it. Make copies to give as gifts, have a headshot made for work purposes, family portrait, baby portrait, whatever the person(s) want.
Procedure: come to the church community room. There will be a check in procedure with forms (permissions to photograph, the person's address and contact information, etc). We take people in the order they come in. No appointments necessary. We will have water and hopefully some snacks available. We will have someone available to help with minor hair and makeup if people would like some extra primping. There is a small children's wait area with books, puzzles, etc to entertain the kids while they wait.
We will print the photos on site, or print offsite and deliver to the help center of the person's choice the following week (depending on the volume of people we serve).

They are hoping to raise $1000 to cover printing costs for one 8x10, two 5x7s and a flash drive containing the image and a document stating the person owns the image and has full rights to reproduce. They'd also like to offer water and a snack for folks waiting for their turn to be photographed.
