With temperatures dipping around 30 below zero and wind chills affecting the cold even lower, a trip out to Eleven Mile Reservoir State Park may not be the average person’s first choice for an outing in the middle of winter.

Yet for those seeking an extreme outdoor experience, winter anglers brave the cold and wind in relative comfort as they are outfitted with shelters and fishing equipment in their pursuit for northern pike, kokanee salmon and all varieties of trout.
