Park County Sheriff Fred Wegener, along with almost 50 deputies and members of the public, dedicated a plaque Feb. 24, at the Bailey substation, for Corporal Nate Carrigan, who was murdered one year ago during an eviction at Friendship Ranch.
The plague sits attached to a small boulder and next to a new flagpole, at the entrance of the substation. The plaque reads “In loving memory of Cpl. Nate Carrigan, EOW (end of watch), February 24, 2016.”
Sheriff Wegener read a prepared statement in honor of Carrigan.
