State Labor Department and Jefferson County American Job Center to Hold Job Fair for Colorado Mills Workers

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) and the American Job Center serving Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties will be hosting a hiring and resource fair on June 7 for workers who have been out of work since the May 8 hailstorm closed the Colorado Mills Mall.
The event will be held at the Marriott Denver West, who is also co-sponsoring the event and participating as an employer with job openings.
At the hiring event, job seekers can talk with representatives from numerous companies and learn about and apply for available positions. Among the more than 20 participating employers will be City of Lakewood, City of Golden, FirstBank, Natural Grocers, Target - CO Mills Mall, Sodexo, Sears, Ameristar Casino Resort Spa, Eliot Management, Walmart, Subway, Jefferson County Human Resources, HomeAdvisor, Home Depot, Staples, Lyft and Performance Driven Workforce.
Other resources available at the event include assistance filing for unemployment insurance, human services programs to help temporarily during unemployment, and information about employment and training programs available for people with disabilities. Representatives from Connect for Health Colorado will be available to discuss health insurance options, and staff from CUSO Financial Services can help jobseekers review financial options.
