In case you were wondering what the firefighter challenge was, here's what they did in 2013. Inter-Canyon won that year; last year there was a men's and women's firefighter challenge and the Cyphers, Emily and Tyler, of Elk Creek Fire won. Who will it be this year?

We've got some amazing entertainment lined up tomorrow, join us!

Jeff King & Johnny T with Lisa Delia
10:00 - 11:00am

Jeff King & Johnny T, also known as Evergreen’s popular figures in the world of guitar - will be opening this year’s Big Chili Cook-Off. Both bring a unique blend of sounds and musical experiences to electrify audiences. Through their travels and experiences as solo artists and band members, they have a variety of musical styles described as rock, folk, and country. Lisa Delia is a longtime Evergreen resident and is currently a singer/percussionist with a local band.

Austin Young Band
12 Noon - 1:00pm

Delivering fiery guitar licks and soulful sounds to listeners worldwide, Austin Young has crafted a unique sound and crowd-pleasing experience. With electrifying passion, energy, and stage presence, Austin makes every show personable and memorable to those within earshot. While staying true to traditional Blues elements, Austin has incorporated themes of contemporary Rock, Jazz, and Gospel to make his sound stand out to the large crowds he attracts. Inspired to pick up a guitar by many musicians, including his late father Tim Young, Austin has already produced and released two studio albums full of his original music, Blue as Can Be (2013) and Not So Simple (2016), and has been recognized for several awards in his home state of Colorado such as Best Guitar Player (2012-2015) from the Colorado Blues Society Listeners Choice Awards.

Chris Daniels & The Kings
2:00 - 3:30pm

They are the emperors of funk in the Rocky Mountain high of Colorado and a fusion somewhere between Ohio Players and KC & The Sunshine Band or the ying and yang of this nation under a groove. Chris Daniels: is not related to Charlie or Jack or Bill — though often asked that question. The Kings include: Chris Daniels, rhythm guitar, vocals; Colin “Bones” Jones, lead guitar; Randy Amen, drums, vocals; Kevin “Bro” Lege, bass, vocals; Darryl “Doody” Abrahamson, trumpet, vocals and Jim Waddell, alto, tenor sax, flute, vocals.

Rick Lewis Project
4:30 - 6:30pm

The Rick Lewis Project was formed in early 2015 by drummer and radio personality Rick Lewis. Rick had just come off an amazing run with his former band the Groove Hawgs. When Lewis' long time partner Michael Floorwax could no longer perform, Rick felt like it was time to close the book on the Groove Hawg's. It was not an easy thing to do because of the long history of the band and the friendships he had formed with the long time members. Forging forward, the Rick Lewis Project carries on the tradition of being a local rock 'n roll favorite!!
