Hi there! How's your summer going so far? We've been having so much fun at the Historical Society!
Our photography exhibit in May (featuring Morgan Wolfers) was one of a kind. Much thanks to Morgan for donating 10% of his sales to us!
We spent two amazing days at the Midway House helping with the Meyer Family Estate Sale (all proceeds are being donated back to us, wow!).
Our visit to the CCC Camp in Morrison was fantastic - what a special treasure hidden right in our own backyard ($3 of each ticket was donated to the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation!).
If you've missed any of these great events, don't miss out on any more! Read on and reserve your tickets today!

Mosey on down to the Little White Schoolhouse for our Annual BBQ Lunch and presentation by the Award Winning Cowgirl Poet & Singer, Susie Knight! She is a true storyteller, providing masterful tales woven with inspiration, humor, and all things cowboy. The Lunch Buffet opens at High Noon, with entertainment starting at 1 pm. A delicious seasonal dessert will be served during intermission, and the silent auction will go on all afternoon!

Save the Date!
September 17, 1pm. We welcome author Erika Walker, the great granddaughter of visionary John Brisben Walker. John Brisben Walker was a Denver civic leader who convinced Mayor Speer to create the Denver Mountain Parks system in 1910.
October 15, 1pm. Local author and award winning journalist Ian Neligh talks about the real life mystery of Alfred (Alferd) Packer. The winter of 1874 was particularly brutal for prospector Bob McGrue's party of 21 men as they traveled to Gold Country in Breckenridge, CO. Alferd Packer split off into a smaller group and was the only man left when he appeared at the Los Pinos Indian Agency near Gunnison, CO.
