Join us for a lively lecture in conjunction with Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) by CAE Executive Director, Steve Sumner, and his son, Aaron Sumner. They will talk about the formulation of paints and pigments throughout art history.
RMNW has a 43 year history in the Front Range of Colorado, but is here in Evergreen for the first time in 2017. Do you know the term watermedia and what it means? This lecture will satisfy your curiosities about the different media that you will see in the exhibition.

Join us for an evening celebrating the arts, which has become an annual tradition. We are pleased to return to Christie’s of Genesee in 2017.
This year’s festive gala includes a Mediterranean dinner, cash bar, a fabulous silent auction, raffle for a 1783 El Cazador shipwreck coin, costume jewelry treasure chest, flamenco dancers and guitar, a living statue, and more!
CAE's "Arts Person of the Year" is Bob McCarroll of LIV Sotheby's International Realty, and we will honor him at this event.

Exhibition Tour - Rocky Mountain National Watermedia

The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 44th year, is presented in our new facility. CAE is honored and excited to take responsibility for hosting this annual exhibition. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States, and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country.
CAE Curator, Becky Guy, has coordinated this exhibition four times, and she is offering a tour to give visitors a more immersive experience. She will give a little history about RMNW followed by more information about a select number of paintings in the exhibition.
The tour is free with admission to the exhibition, which is $3 for adults & seniors and FREE for CAE Members.

$2 entry fee (kids free) goes directly toward CAE's educational arts programming for the community.
