Hunger and Homelessness in Jefferson County: How it impacts our communities
Are you concerned about the impact of homelessness and hunger on individuals and communities in Jefferson County?
If so, come join the Jefferson County League of Women Voters for a panel discussion on November 8th to learn more about current challenges and opportunities for addressing the needs of those who are homeless or experiencing hunger. Speakers from Jeffco Action Center, Jeffco Public Schools, Heading Home/Family Tree, and the Arvada Chief of Police will let us know what their agencies are doing to combat homelessness and hunger. There will be time for questions for our panelists, as well as information about actions that can be taken by individual citizens. Representatives from an organization that serves homeless veterans will be available to answer questions before and after the panel discussion.
This event will take place from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Hospital South, located at 11600 W. 2nd Place in Lakewood. It is open to the public and is free of charge. For more information, visit
