County budget presentation highlights

At the annual preliminary county budget hearing Nov. 8, Assistant Manager Cindy Gharst summarized the preliminary budget proposed for 2018.

The final budget is set for adoption Dec. 21.

Gharst said no decisions have been made on special requests from five departments.

Therefore the dollar amounts have not changed since the budget was presented to the commissioners in late September. (See Oct. 20 The Flume article.)

It could change significantly after the commissioners decide on special requests.
