When a community faces a tragedy, they come together to be there for one another like never before. Sunday, Dec. 17, was no exception.
The community turned out en masse to celebrate the life of Maggie Long. Long was the Platte Canyon High School student who was found dead in her burned house Dec. 1.
The students wore yellow roses, and the stage area was decorated with yellow roses as well.
Sunday’s memorial to Long was a Celebration of Life. The hour-plus-long program began with the singing of “Seasons of Love,” from the musical “Rent,” performed by The Venue Theatre’s chorus of which Maggie was a part.
