Join us HERE, live on DFPC's Facebook page on Friday, April 13th from 9:00am to 11:00am for the Governor’s Annual Wildfire Briefing hosted by Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.
The Director of the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) will join Governor John W. Hickenlooper to share the state’s Wildfire Potential for 2018 and provide updates on the level of state preparedness. Additional updates will be provided by the Colorado Department of Public Safety U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management - Colorado and the Colorado State Forest Service.
The meeting for 2018 will take place at the Multi-Mission Aircraft hangar in Centennial and will feature aerial and ground displays as well as interviews with local, state and federal agencies.
The LIVE STREAM news conference will feature the Governor, CDPS Executive Director, and the DFPC Director. Make sure to tune in at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13th to listen to these state leaders discuss the 2018 Fire outlook.
*Due to the size of the venue, this event is invite-only (media will be allowed to attend) but will be live streamed for all to see.

Denver, Colo.– The Governor’s annual wildfire briefing has been scheduled for Friday, April 13th at 10:00 am at the Aero Colorado Hangar, Centennial Airport at 8082 South Interport Blvd Englewood CO 80112. Aerial and ground static displays will follow the press conference.
The Director of the Colorado Department of Public Safety and the Director of the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC) will join Governor Hickenlooper to share the state’s wildfire potential for 2018 and provide updates on the level of state preparedness.
Displays include:
Colorado National Guard Helicopter and Bambi bucket, DFPC Multi-Mission Aircraft, DFPC Single Engine Air Tanker, US Forest Service Type 3 Engine and hotshot crew, South Metro Fire Type 3 Engine, DFPC Type 3 Engine and the DFPC Mobile Live Fire Trailer Unit.
*This event is open to the media.
