The commissioners met in executive session April 5 with environmental law and litigation attorney Elizabeth Temkin to discuss issues regarding the old landfill cleanup and mitigation.
Temkin is a partner of the Davis, Graham and Stubbs law firm in Denver.
The executive session lasted about one and one-half hours.
Park County hired Temkin in September 2017 to represent the county in a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment enforcement proceeding and to defend the county in a lawsuit by landowners alleging groundwater impacts to their property from the landfill site.
