Caller from Conifer made comments about creating trails, preserving open space and historic spaces. Mentioned new housing development with 10 dwellings/acre, and not sure if we have enough water for that.

Caller expressed concerns about upcoming Colorado Classic bike race in August that will close Deer Creek Canyon for a time - that is the only route for residents to get in and out, and he's worried about emergency access. Sheriff Shrader said once a permit has been approved, their only concern is providing services to help the race run safely and continue to protect the community. He encourages everyone to follow Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on Facebook, and particularly Twitter, as they will be Tweeting during the day to update on closures.
