Hard Landing for Hot Air Balloon in Park County, 2 injured

From Park County:

Hartsel, Colo.- 08/03/2018 at 8:20 am - A Hot Air Balloon carrying 9 passengers and 2 pilots had a hard landing near Hartsel. Two female passengers were injured. The most seriously injured was transported by Flight for Life to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, The flight originated out of the Hartsel area. No additional information is available on the identity or condition of the two passengers. FAA and NTSB are handling the investigation.

PARK COUNTY, Colo. — At least two people were injured in a hot air balloon incident in Park County Friday morning. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

According to Peter Knudson with the National Transportation Safety Board, the hot air balloon was carrying 11 people — 9 passengers, and 2 pilots — when came to a hard landing in the Hartsel area of Park County.
