Learn how the USFS, Platte Canyon Fire Protection District, and Elk Creek Fire Protection District are preparing our forest landscape and community for a future wildfire event.
Join us on September 8 from 2-4PM at Platte Canyon Fire Protection District Station 2 (153 Delwood Dr, Hwy 285, Bailey). We'll be screening a one hour wildfire documentary that reveals how fire suppression and climate change have altered our forests and rendered our wildland-urban intermix highly vulnerable to destructive wildfires.
Learn why terms like fire tornado, fire tsunami, and mega fire have entered our wildfire lexicon.
Learn what we are doing to reduce the risk and how you can help.
