From Jefferson County Sheriff's Office:

National Night Out is August 6 this year and we are looking forward to spending the evening with you. Last year the Sheriff’s Office went to over 20 different National Night Out events, enjoying block parties, community bar-b-ques, neighborhood parades, and house parties for National Night Out.

You might have seen us playing corn hole, tossing a Frisbee, or throwing the football around with your kids or neighbors. It was great – and we want to do it again! Together, we can reduce crime in our neighborhoods.

Join us tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug 6th) by attending one of the following 26 festivities taking place in our Jefferson County communities! We look forward to celebrating National Night Out with you!

NNO Festivities Listing for JCSO:

The National Association of Town Watch sponsors National Night Out in the United States and Canada. Although the origin dates back to the early 1970s the day has been celebrated since 1984.
These communities assist local law enforcement as extra eyes and ears while out engaging their neighbors and neighboring businesses. As extra pairs of eyes all over communities, these neighbors can assist local law enforcement to be more aware of the goings-on in communities.
