Notice of vacancy of the Board of Directors, Director District 2

The Intermountain Rural Electric Association has a vacancy on its board of directors in District 2 due to the recent passing of James “Duke” Dozier. In accordance with the association’s bylaws, the vacancy will be filled by a majority vote of the remaining board members.

Interested applicants should send a letter stating their interest to serve on the board, accompanied by résumés, to Board President Tim White no later than June 12, 2020 in one of the following ways:

• Via mail to Intermountain Rural Electric Association, ATTN: Tim White, PO Drawer A, Sedalia, CO 80135; or

• Delivered in person to the Association’s principal office at 5496 N. US Highway 85, Sedalia, CO 80135.

According to the association’s bylaws, to be eligible to become a director, a person must:

(a) Be an individual at least eighteen (18) years of age or older;

(b) Be a member of the association;

(c) Purchase electric energy within his or her director district; and

(d) Not be an employee of the association.

The remaining board members will review applications, conduct interviews and select a replacement to fill the vacancy for the remaining unexpired portion of the term until the next regularly scheduled election for that office, which is April 2022.
