23 Mar 2021 16:03 - 14 Apr 2021 16:05 #1 by RotaryWildfireReady
It's time to prepare for Wildfire Season! May 1st is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day: a national campaign that encourages people and organizations everywhere to come together on a single day to take action to raise awareness and reduce wildfire risks.

To honor this effort, we will be proudly introducing our mobile educational fire truck that we've purchased and modified to help you learn more about what you and your family can do to get prepared. We'll have free materials on evacuation planning, defensible space, home hardening and more. Join us from 8:30-11:30am at Elk Creek Fire Protection District Station 1, 19933 Blackfoot Rd or from 1:30-4:30pm at Evergreen Fire Rescue, 1802 Bergen Pkwy, visit with your first responders, and get your free Emergency Go Bag while supplies last.

Please invite your friends, family and neighbors to attend as well!

We are so proud of the launch of our Rotary Wildfire Ready Fire Truck. We introduced this rolling wildfire educational lab on Wildfire Preparedness Day and had 125 people in Conifer and over 400 people come by to learn more about how they can get prepared.

Special thank you to our extraordinary Rotary Wildfire Ready Educational team volunteers - Chuck Ridings, Laurie Romberg, Amy Deuble, Lucy Bauer, Sharon Trilk, John Putt, Denise Onyskiw- and to our wonderful Hot Shot sponsors Chuck Ridings, Mountain Metro Association of Realtors, Lee and Christine Young and our Guardian Sponsors Bruce Anderson Farmers Insurance and Marianne and Pat Temple. And a special thank you to Evergreen Rotarians whose generous contributions helped make this truck possible.

This was such an incredible community collaboration and we are so proud of the results. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
