Jeffcom 911 Accreditation Assessment Team Invites Public Comment

The Jefferson County Communications Center Authority (Jeffcom 911) is seeking its initial accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). CALEA requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards relating to policy and procedures, administration, and operations.

Jeffcom 911 is scheduled for a virtual site-based assessment to verify that it meets professional standards. The assessment team reviewing Jeffcom 911 consists of two CALEA Assessors, Julie Righter Dove, Team Leader, from Lincoln, NE, and Mary Sue Robey of Valley Communications in Kent, WA.

As part of the virtual site-based assessment, Jeffcom 911 invites members of the community to participate in a public comment session by calling an open ZOOM link at #1-669-900-6833 (Meeting ID: 897 5902 4557) on Monday April 12th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. CALEA Assessors will be available at that time to take your comments. Calls will not be recorded.

Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. Anyone wishing to review the standards may contact CALEA via their website at www.calea.org/contact-us .
