Bicycle Plan and Pedestrian Infrastructure Bicycle Plan
The Bicycle Plan was adopted by the Jefferson County Planning Commission June 2012. The plan was designed to serve as the blueprint for making improvements to the county’s bicycle network. The existing multi-modal transportation system will be enhanced through the implementation of safe and convenient on-street and off-street facilities. These planning processes utilized a regional approach that focuses on the implementation of bicycle accommodations that are continuous and consistent throughout the cities, towns, and unincorporated areas of Jefferson County. A more extensive bicycle network will help the county achieve its goal of increasing the number of bike and walk trips.
Jefferson County received a Transportation Improvement Program Grant to update the county’s bike plan, and selected Toole Design Group to lead the project. More information will be posted here as this project develops.

Evergreen Trails Master Plan
Finalized in December 2015, the
Evergreen Trails Master Plan (PDF)
is a grant-funded project to establish the vision of a cohesive trail network in the core of the Evergreen community. The Plan details a network of trails and on-street bicycle and pedestrian facilities that links Evergreen’s parks, open space, schools, and community assets. While the Plan is not a county-adopted planning document, it is a community-vetted reference that prioritizes near-term and long-term phased implementation of recommended improvement projects to increase mobility and recreational options and to improve access, safety and comfort for the community.
