Bergen Parkway at Sugarbush Drive Intersection Pedestrian Improvements, Evergreen CO 80439
Posted on March 2, 2022

Project Location:
Improvements will be made at the intersection of Bergen Parkway and Sugarbush Drive in Evergreen.

Project Background:
Bergen Parkway at Sugarbush Drive is a main intersection in north Evergreen with connections to local businesses. The existing islands have cracked and broken concrete, and the pedestrian ramps are not up to current standards.

See the Bergen Parkway and Sugarbush Drive Island Extension Layout (PDF).

Project Scope:
The project will replace the existing concrete islands and corner ramps at the intersection. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramps and crosswalks will be installed and the islands will be larger, creating a safer pedestrian crossing at the intersection. Areas of broken asphalt will be replaced and repaved. The traffic configuration with the four-way stop will not change.

Project Schedule:
Design for this project is underway. Construction will occur in Summer 2022 pending Colorado Department of Transportation grant approval.
