On Sunday, May 15th, COFA will be offering a CPR/AED course. COFA-Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America is offering a CPR/AED class on Sunday, May 15th. The class is from 1:00 to 5:00 PM
More than 356,000 cardiac arrests occur outside a hospital in the U.S. each year. Cardiac arrest is the abrupt loss of heart function in a person who may or may not have been diagnosed with heart disease. It can come on suddenly or in the wake of other symptoms. Cardiac arrest is often fatal if appropriate steps aren’t taken immediately. You’re clinically dead during that time. Your heart quits functioning. Blood no longer circulates. Early intervention is critical to surviving and having the least amount of long-term brain damage.
People who suffer from cardiac arrest, if they are not resuscitated in the field, have a very poor likelihood of surviving. In cardiac arrest, death can result quickly if proper steps aren’t taken immediately. Cardiac arrest may be reversed if CPR is performed and a defibrillator (AED) shocks the heart and restores a normal heart rhythm within a few minutes.
The Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America is offering classes on how to perform CPR as well as instruct the attendee on how to use an AED machine. The classes are taught by an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider. A donation for the class is $45.00 (should you require a Red Cross two-year certificate an additional $27 fee is required at class and paid to the American Red Cross).
Kevin Bellamy is the instructor for this class. For more information call Mike at 303.880.9878 or Leslie at 303.909.3707Regoster now:
