From Sarah Booras:

Humphrey Museum near Bergan Park is closing and liquidating. It will be a series of online auctions spanning the next 8 weeks. The house is full of 19th century antiques! Native American, Middle Eastern, Civil War items, Russian, American and Asian. We are keeping the gift shop open to the public during auction pick-up days. The first will be Aug 26th and 27th from 10am-4pm. Many items from the house will be available to purchase (in the gift shop). We hope to see a lot of locals there as we know Hazel Humphrey would love to know her treasures will be staying in the town she loved so dearly! Here is the link to those interested! denveronlineauctions.com/

This is only a preview, not the Actual Auction. CLICK ON ANY PIC BELOW, THEN CLICK ON THE HOUSE PHOTO TO SEE EVERYTHING THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE! Actual action coming very soon! The Humphrey History Park and Museum in Evergreen Colorado is sadly closing its doors. This is a great opportunity for collectors of quality antiques. This large log home is filled with treasures acquired from the late 1800s through the 1920s. The museum is a tribute to three generations of wealthy women dedicated to traveling and collecting items from around the globe and proudly displaying them in every corner of their home. American Indian, The Civil War, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. It begins with Mary Amaryllis Hammer (Socialite and Wife of Circuit Judge Harry Hammer in Chicago) in the 1800s. She devoted her life to acquiring treasures and collections during her extensive travels. Her daughter Hazel Hammer Humphrey (b.1881) and granddaughter Hazel Lou Humphrey (b.1917) continued this tradition in the Evergreen home for 75 years. The home became a museum after Hazel Lou's death in 1995 (at her request). Because of the vast number of items in this museum, there will be a series of auctions concentrating on different areas of the home, spanning 2-3 months Aug-Sept 2022. SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE ON SMALLER ITEMS. We have kept the gift shop open and is full of fun keepsakes and western toys for kids. Please plan to pop in there while picking up your winnings!
