CLEAR CREEK COUNTY TO CO-HOST HOUSING CLASS FOR RESIDENTS
Taking place this Saturday on November 5th, the Clear Creek County Housing
Department in conjunction with the non-profit 9 to 5 and the Five Star Neighborhood
Collaborative will be hosting a housing class geared towards mobile home park
residents. It will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the County Commissioners’
meeting room located at 405 Argentine Street in Georgetown.
At the class, people can expect to learn how to support organizing efforts. In addition,
mobile home residents can learn more about what organizing is, misconceptions,
significance of leadership, and outreach. Home owners can also learn about their rights
as individuals and the rights they have that protect residents that exercise their right to
organize their community. Finally, there will be information about the MHP Act, which
governs relationships between homeowners and park owners.
With more than 20 mobile home parks in the county, Clear Creek Housing, 9 to 5, and
the Five Star Neighborhood Collaborative hopes this class will be beneficial to those
with questions or concerns when it comes to their homes.
This class is free, and you can join either in person or over Zoom. Below is information
on how to join.
Zoom/Virtual option by request when RSVP
