COFA is partnering with the Colorado Parks & Wildlife to provide Hunter Safety Education.

In this course, students will complete the Internet Conclusion Course in a classroom setting that includes lectures, hands-on activities, and videos. Registering for this class meets your requirement to pre-register for a conclusion class as described at the  Colorado Parks and Wildlife website for the Internet Conclusion Course.

About the Event: Comprehensive Instruction in Colorado Hunting Safety Education: This official training program is developed to meet the standards for Hunting Safety Education established by Colorado. The Hunter Ed online program is the only safety course provider that develops print materials on behalf of government agencies responsible for Hunting laws and regulations.

Hunter education cards will be awarded to students upon successful completion of the course, which includes attending all class sessions, passing a written test, and live fire. Rifles and ammunition for the live fire will be provided. No personal firearms or live ammunition are allowed at class.

Cost:  $10 fee for the course.

Schedule:  Classroom instruction will be from 7:30 am-noon at the Timber Ridge Church in Conifer, address: 25587 Conifer Rd, Conifer, CO 80433, located on the 2nd level above the UPS Store and Dry Cleaners, elevator available. Directions to the range for the live fire portion of the class, from 1-3 pm, will be given in class.

Prerequisite Info: Please keep in mind, a prerequisite for this class is the online instruction portion at the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website (see link above at cpw.state.co.us). You must bring proof (your signed certificate) showing you successfully completed the online course and passed the online exam. The online portion takes 6-10 hours or more depending on individual speed, please allow time and plan accordingly.
