The Evergreen Lake North Trail Project was created in response to the Spring 2016 closure of the trail along CO 74 on the north side of Evergreen Lake between Upper Bear Creek Road and Evergreen Dam. The project will create a multimodal transportation system that improves bike/pedestrian facilities while fixing urgent drainage and stability issues under a critical trail linkage that is adjacent to CO 74 on the north side of Evergreen Lake in Evergreen, Colorado.
Improvements to the Evergreen Lake North Trail also include widening the trail to meet AASHTO criteria for shared use paths, creating improved fishing opportunities and wildlife viewing, and providing for drainage improvements and bank stabilization.
The project's goal is to work with the community, stakeholders, and funders and create a long-term solution for the Evergreen Lake North Trail to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity in our community.
Cost: $4.85 Million
Contractor: ESCO Construction Co.
Timeline: February 2023 - October 2023
Location: South white line of CO 74 between Evergreen Lake Dam and the intersection between Upper Bear Creek Road and CO 74, south to the Evergreen Lake North Shoreline
