Posted on: May 3, 2023 Highlights from Board of County Commissioners Meeting on May 2, 2023
Park County, CO – Yesterday the Board of County Commissioners made several notable decisions. After much debate and public input, the BOCC met in executive session and ultimately voted to authorize the county manager to submit a proposal to the Platte Canyon School District No. 1 for the purchase of the 72.97 acre development parcel. Pursuant to CRS 24-6-402(4)(a) regarding discussions related to the purchase, acquisition, lease or transfer, or sale of any real or personal property interest the details will not be disclosed at this time. Details will be made available as soon as possible.
In addition, the BOCC adopted the 2018 County Building Codes. This code shall become effective upon adoption by the BOCC. Applications for permits made prior to the adoption by the Board of County Commissioners, shall be governed by the terms of the code in effect at the time of the application. Applications under the previous 2012 code will be accepted until December 31, 2023. Stay tuned for more details.

Rosalie Property Sale
The agenda should be posted later today. The Rosalie property should be on it. The meetings start at 6:00 usually. Yes take all petitions and sign up to speak on the Rosalie agenda item and present them there. We don't know if there was more than one bid, so it is important for everyone to show up and speak to show the support of the community for the county purchase of this property. This will be the time! Spread the word on social media and to any email lists that you have.
