Conifer’s public library will be moving out of Conifer High School and into a space of its own.
The question is where and when.
Jefferson County Public Library officials agreed at the Aug. 17 board meeting that after 27 years of being housed in Conifer High School, the library should be moved to accommodate the area’s changing needs.
Edith Kiefer, who has spearheaded the effort to get a new library location in Conifer for the Conifer Area Council, thanked the library board and Executive Director Donna Walker for moving forward with the plan.
