A Thursday afternoon three-car crash on U.S. 285 just north of Shaffers Crossing near Pine Junction forced the closure of one lane of the highway for three hours, backing up traffic in both directions.
Four people were transported to Denver-area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries they suffered in the crash, said Colorado State Patrol Trooper Jeremy Langrand.
