Wilson Wish, Win, and Walk Carnival and Charity Walk

On Oct 31 a terrible car accident happened on Highway 285. The accident took the life of Harley, Garrett and Parker’s mom, Alicia (Lish) Wilson. Parker is in the hospital recovering from serious injuries that he received in the accident. Harley is homeschooled, Garrett attends WJMS and Parker is a 5th grader at ECE. To give our community the opportunity to support these boys through this tragedy, we are holding a charity walk and carnival fundraiser. 100% of the money raised will go to The Wilson boys’ financial needs. The Wilson Wish, Win and Walk will be held at WJMS from 2:30-5:30, Friday, November 19.

There are many ways you can make a difference and help raise money for the Wilson boys:

1) Charity Walk: Get pledges and raise money for the charity walk. You can have people sponsor you for every lap in the school you walk, or one overall donation. If you raise $25/person, you can participate in the event without paying the $5 entrance fee. All pledges in the form of checks can be made out to the “Wilson Family Memorial Fund”. Pledge forms are in the office at WJMS. Please bring completed forms and donations to the event.

2) Carnival: Buy an entrance fee to the carnival at WJMS for $5 and come join the fun. We’ll have prizes, obstacle courses, carnival games, “minute to win it” games and a movie. Door prizes too. Each entrance fee will include 10 tickets to play. Additional tickets can be purchased at the fundraiser.

3) Air brush tattoos: choose from over 200 designs for $2-$3 each.

4) Well Wishes: There will be a wishing well and cards to write messages of well wishes to the family

5) Donate: You can donate all kinds of food and/or prizes. Donate money to “Wilson Family Memorial Fund”. Send checks to Marci Brewster c/o WJMS, 9449 South Barnes Avenue, Conifer, CO 80433.

6) T-Shirts for sale: Register to buy a Wilson Wish, Win and Walk t-shirt for $10 at the event.

7) Great Gifts: Bid on auction items donated by local businesses. Items will be displayed at the event.

8) Purchase Food: There will be food for sale at the event.
