Bailey resident Linda Henley has been named the recipient of the 2010 GRACIE Award from the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce. She will receive the award at the chamber holiday mixer at about 6 p.m. at the Shawnee Tea Room on Thursday, Dec. 2 (tonight). As of Thursday morning, it looked like Gracie Trast herself would be there to help with the presentation. The mixer is also an open house and the hours are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the tea room, which is next to the Shawnee post office at 56048 U.S. 285. There will be a local giving tree, cookie exchange, silent auction, door prizes and canned food drive. Details in this week's Flume.
