IMHS hit by contagious ringworm fungus - The Flume

The Pine Junction-based Intermountain Humane Society was hit by ringworm among its cats, and that led to 23 cats being euthanized. Details in this week's Flume.

I work for an animal rescue group (since I was very young). I have not heard that anyone has killed cats that have ringworm. It is hard to eradicate ringworm but that is exactly what we do. I do not think it is right to euthanize a pet for being sick, unless it is suffering.
