Park County Jail revenue has declined steadily since 2006. At $1.2 million in 2010, revenue was 25 percent lower than the $1.6 million in 2009 and 57 percent lower than the peak of $2.8 million in 2006. Costs were $2.38 million in 2010, so the jail lost $1.18 million in 2010. Details in this week's Flume.

No wonder they want this Comm. Center so bad, they'll need a place for their family and friends to work once the Jail goes under....

And this is a "surprise" to anyone in Park County that the Jail has been losing money, YET again??? How many more years do the taxpayers have to keep paying for this sinking ship??? CLOSE the damn thing and PUT YOUR PRECIOUS COMM center in there...

What a GREAT idea!! Maybe it would save the county some money and they could change the sign to read JOHN TIGHE MEMORIAL COMM. CENTER!! (S*** the sign would probably cost more than the entire refurb. of the building)
