General: U.S. may consider troops in Libya

07 Apr 2011 18:34 #1 by Blazer Bob
"CBS/AP) WASHINGTON - The United States may consider sending troops into Libya with a possible international ground force that could aid the rebels, according to the general who led the military mission until NATO took over.

Army Gen. Carter Ham also told lawmakers Thursday that added American participation would not be ideal, and ground troops could erode the international coalition and make it more difficult to get Arab support for operations in Libya.

Ham said the operation was largely stalemated now and was more likely to remain that way since America has transferred control to NATO."

Disapproving Mother: General Ham! You can't start another war until you finish the the other two first!

Side note: The US has siezed 78 billion of Qadaffi's assets he is hodling in America so lets just keep it to pay for the current air campaign.

:like:

But the messiah promised "NO troops on the ground",

well, he did promise no more Gitmo, no unemployment over 8%, and he'd fix the world, and lower the oceans (tell that to Japan), on & on & on...

NEVERmind, saw troops on the ground before he said that there would be no troops on the ground.
It's part of WARfare, how do we know where, when and how much to kill & destory, if we can't trust anybody on the ground besides our own?

(EDITED: Forgot we're not involved anymore now that NATO, has taken over.)

Don't worry, Obama said a couple weeks ago we'll be done in a matter of days so nothing to worry about.

It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy
