I found this one:

Breakdown of 1 dollar.

There's some other really interesting stuff there. I'm disappointed that there isn't more balance on the Board, but the staff isn't as bad (could use some more).

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

SC, the source of the first budget data was http://www.thirdway.org/taxreceipt

Never heard of "thirdway", interesting site though. Looks like a bunch of moderate types from what I can tell so far.

I liked the taxreceipt, you can expand it and see the details. Where the money goes! The negative numbers are confusing though. Need more of those! :)

Interesting list.... A throw-together mish-mash of Fed/State/County/Local taxes, with many duplications...("Cigarette" taxes; "Tobacco" taxes....) I guess if all you want to do is rage against taxes & fees there are plenty out there to be outraged about. Of course, a huge number of the taxes/fees go back into services and support for things we need, and want.

Oh, I forget... ALL taxes/fees bad... "Society", as a whole, bad...

I don't find writing a big check on tax day any more fun than the rest of you, but it's the price you pay as a responsible citizen in a complex society. There are countries with lower taxes, but you might not living in them.

I was listening to Fox News this morning and they were talking about the tax burden and how unfair it is that the wealthy have to shoulder so much of the burden. I did a little research and found that the welathiest 1% paid 40% of the taxes in 2007. Well that seemed unfair, right? So I did a little more research and found that in 2007* the top 1% possessed 34.6% of the net worth of the country and 42.7% of the financial wealth in the country. Hmm, doesn't sound so lopsided suddenly. Also found this article - good read:

http://ecolocalizer.com/2010/04/12/plut ... ince-1928/

*I used 2007 because that was the latest year I could find data on net worth
