Once again you continue to perpetuate your accusatory bullsh**. Is it just impossible to admit you're wrong or to apologize, or is your righteous throne just too high and mighty for you to ever be wrong?

I wonder if your liberal buddies feel the same way about making unsubstantiated racist accusations? Anyone....archer, kresspin, av, .....anyone?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Maybe, just maybe, some conservative will actually show a source for the $2 million allegedly spent to cover it up......I haven't seen any proof yet, but the right keeps repeating it over and over again. What was it you were saying about fiction on another thread RT?......fiction is all you know how to post.

Actually, I'm not sure if this discussion is about Mr. Ryan's budget or how LJ thinks anyone who doesn't agree with her is a racist, but its seems that though town halls may be angry over Mr. Ryan's budget.....they are still blaming the President for the poor economy. I think the only way we get this solved is to follow leftist recommendations, let the US economy crash completely and then clean up the mess.

POLL: Americans slam Obama for economy

(Washington) - Four in 10 registered voters approve of President Obama's handling of the economy, a new poll found.
According to the McClatchy-Marist Poll, released Thursday, 57 percent disapprove and the remaining 3 percent are unsure.

The 40 percent approval rating marks a record low for the McClatchy-Marist poll. The previous low came in September, when only 41 percent approved of Obama's handling of the economy.

“These economic numbers could spell trouble for President Obama's reelection prospects,” said Lee M. Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. “Oddly, though, he still isn't being faulted for the sluggish economy. Most think it was there waiting for him when he took office.”

The poll found 71 percent of Democrats surveyed approve and 27 percent disapprove. That’s a substantial uptick since January, when 15 percent of Democrats disapproved.

Meanwhile, just 11 percent of Republicans approve of Obama's performance on the economy, while 87 percent do not. The poll found in January that 7 percent approved and 88 percent disapproved.

I'm starting to understand just why the media is going after Donald Trump so viciously. He may actually present a threat to their chosen guy.

Town halls may NOT like Mr. Ryan's plan, but come November 2012 they are likely going to take their anger out on Mr. Obama unless he pulls a rabbit out of his hat pretty soon. I see it as win-win. Either he develops a viable plan to solve the economic woes in the US in the next few months (everyone wins) or he goes out of office as abruptly as he came in (everyone still wins).

I'm waiting for the rock star to hit the stage for the next act. It's gonna be a good show.

Any budget that proposes cuts anywhere is going to meet with stiff opposition. Is it not time to look at the history of budget allotments? If I recall, SS got into a quandary because money was being siphoned off for other pet projects. There may have been good intensions to pay it back, but we all know from personal experience how difficult that is, so our government simply let it slide or upped the deficit. I think AV expressed it best when she wrote.

However, when it comes to programs like Social Security and Medicare, the continuing existence of which people have been assured of for decades and therefore made lifelong financial decisions based on that premise, it seems to me it is quite a different kettle of fish than cutting back on military spending or regulatory programs or food stamps.

Those decisions were encouraged and supported by our government. While there are some who never trust the government and will take personal responsibility for their retirement needs, not all are successful and those who expect the government to assist them after years of service and paying into the system (even if it is not equal to their needs) ought not to by penalized now. Let's just forget the crap about lefty and righty for a moment and consider viable options. Where has the budget increased the most and why. It seems one is the military because of our Global policing effort and inane desire to have the rest of the world enjoy democracy. Frankly, we ought to let the rest of the world run itself. Let us end our engagements and therefore a HUGE drain on the budget. Wars we are currently engaged in is by choice. Like the Vietnam war, one look tells you these are not winnable (if that is the objective) and we certainly are not making many friends in the process even with those (Pakistan) who benefit the most from our presence. Those who argue we are being proactive, I suggest you look for alternative and more effective ways. The best way is not always to throw huge chunks of money and force at a problem. So how many other pet programs are being funded for political positioning reasons? Can these be cut? Let everyone brainstorm, meaning there are no right or wrong proposals. Perhaps together we can come up with a budget that is from the American people after we have our discussion. Is this egotistical or arrogant? I doubt it given the propsals out there are pretty simple minded.
