1) The myth: George Washington wasn't the first U.S. president.

The facts: Theorists say it was actually John Hanson, the president of the Continental Congress, who served as the nation's first president, not George Washington.
That claim is simply false.
The office of "President of the United States" was created under the Constitution in 1787, long after Hanson died.
Given the birth cert is valid (probably so) it could have been released before he was elected. He is a master politician and the far right got shredded in this foolish exercise (fools for sure). Their credibility is massively damaged, they look like biggots and may never recover. I am not on either side - but what a masterful trap Obama set.
The document he released originally was the legal document that was required to run for, and hold office. No one else was required to release anything more. The world is laughing at us... a lunatic fringe group forcing the president of our United States to prove he is an American. He should never have released the long form, IMO. It sets a precedence for future presidents.

Sort of how it is when you finally kick a little dog that's been nipping at your ankles? That kind of backed down?
Tell me, why should he release his school records? Where is the law that requires he release those? More importantly, if he releases his school records, will that satisfy the birthers or will they just howl "fake" and claim that he backed down once again and is weak?
