Obama Kills Bin Ladin!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. special forces team that hunted down Osama bin Laden was under orders to kill the al Qaeda mastermind, not capture him, a U.S. national security official told Reuters.

"This was a kill operation," the official said, making clear there was no desire to try to capture bin Laden alive in Pakistan. (Reporting by Mark Hosenball, writing by Matt Spetalnick)

Congrats to our military and to President Obama for concentrating on Afghanistan instead of Iraq. All of you idiots praising Bush for this just look pathetic. He pulled resources out of Afghanistan to supply his war in Iraq. Obama, correctly, put extra troops into Afghanistan and notched up pressure on Pakistan until this was the result.

Good. I agree with a kill strategy, because capturing him would have just created another "cause" and more targets. Where would we have held him without it becoming a huge target?

I'm wondering how these wingnuts are already bitching about "not getting to see the body" before they have even completed all of the forensics? They are JUST NOW announcing that the DNA tests are coming back positive.

I think in the next 24-48 hours, they will release enough information that even the "deathers" will have their proof... (Of course, there are some who will never have closure...But they will the same ones that don't believe the long-form birth-certificate either.) I think they will release photos...(Real ones...not the Photoshop'd crap from FaxuNews...)

The military is not dumb...They KNOW they have to produce sufficient proof, visual and otherwise, to satisfy EVERYONE...The Muslims...AND the "deathers"....

From what I understand, we couldn't do anything right when getting rid of usama's body..you do one thing, you are wrong, you do another, and you are wrong! Nothing would please the muslims..the muslim brotherhood is keeping quiet on this, hamas is not...I honestly don't see anything wrong with having the video of his body being shown to the world. I do remember as you do what they did to 3 American bodies, they hung them after burning them. Kate, the muslims only understand force and its consequences...
