Are you really that dense are or just trying to be a jerk?
What i have said, and what I continue to say, is that gender and race had nothing to do with this issue.
Nothing.
I happen to think it does. After all, every time one of us men say something about Abortion, you tell us that women have the right to do what they want to with their own bodies.
You happen to be the one who is a jerk in this matter. You refuse to see that a woman, who is a Democrat Legislator is trashed over having a different opinion than the rest of you Progressive, Socialist women who say that. All of these ingredients together make this the story that it is.
Just because you insist that it has nothing to do with it doesn't IMO, and I have the right to an opinion, as well as whoever filmed this video, has a right to theirs, doesn't stop this from being something worth discussing. Since a great majority of Abortions are done in the African-American Community, since it is preached by the Democratic Party, and has been funded through Planned Parenthood, it is an issue, Like it or not!!!
AspenValley wrote: This story, in my opinion isn't about any of those things. Its about how people act like total sh**s to each other when someone refuses to fit a "mold".
And the mold that she was supposed to fit was that of a black woman in favor of abortion. She did not fit the mold and suffered the abuse.
Other than that you are saying that the story is irrelevant.

No, it's not condoned by me. Actually, it bugs me quite a bit. No wonder we have such a dysfunctional government.
This type of behavior for elected officials is completely unacceptable. Regardless of your political affiliation, I feel this type of nonsense is symptomatic of the disrespect and ugliness that is becoming far too prevalent, not only in the political arena, but in society in general.
Respect and personal responsibility are characteristics that seem to be vanishing from our culture. That's bad news for everyone.
The problem with sweeping generalizations is they also condemn the innocent. I certainly did not want to imply that everyone on this forum presents themselves without respect. You among a few others, belong to a group conducting themselves with integrity and respect for others. So my apologies to you and strength to stand against the hurricane of disrespect that too often howls around you.
Our representatives truly do represent us. If we don't like they way they look we should all take a hard look at ourselves. They reflect us. Can anyone doubt reading this and other forums that courtesy, respect for differing opinions and rational discission has become the exception not the rule?

I usually don't like that emoticon, but it is appropriate here. Good post chicaree.
I do believe that this is the gist of this thread, just as you stated. But it is more narrowed; the Democrats need to take a look at themselves and determine exactly what might be their motivating factors.
Why just Democrats Major Bean? Do you not believe that Republicans also harrass and abuse other Republicans that don't toe the party line? Believe me, they harrassed me right out of the party.
Hence the word "RINO" applied to anyone in the party who doesn't march in lock-step with the neocon right-wing. Say, like John McCain... He was their candidate, but now he's a "RINO"... So, Republicans will harass and abuse other Republicans who don't toe the party line and regurgitate the party drivel...and they'll do it in a heartbeat. In fact, if they're currently in office, they are instantly threatened with being "primary'd" by the Tea Party.
Presently the Republican party is in the very middle of the self evaluation process. This has taken the form of the Tea Party faction within this party. How it turns out is anyone's guess. But it IS that process.
If you go back through this particular thread, it will be clear to you that you and Aspen Valley argued with me about whether or not the facts presented in this thread were relevant. You have no right to complain about others, when you are just as guilty of doing the same damn thing.
I don't really give a damn whether or not, you and AV and Archer and Kresspin like me. That is not my intent when I post. I post to create a point of discussion. Very rarely does any of you Liberals discuss a damn thing. That may also be said about some on the right. But if you look at a thread and see that the first reply is from LOONEY JERK or Kresspin, or Archer, and it is filled with argument, and not debate of an issue, you will see why this forum has broken down the way it has. You will see that this vitriol and hatred is actually fomented by the mainstream media and the administration of Obama. Never in our history has this country been so divided and at odds with each other, besides during the Civil War.
