After debating in favor of a bill that would require ultrasounds before abortions, Democrat leaders openly harassed, threatened and belittled Democratic Rep. Daphnee Campbell.
Not you N. The representatives actions speak for themselves. More of that 'tolerance' from the left we always hear about.
I'm just shooting the Race Card from the hip for the heck of it. The left seems to enjoy using it so much I thought I'd give it a try.
"As for Rep. Scott Randolph, his temper-tantrum-like behavior is intolerant and juvenile. His disrespectful and shameless comments are a disgrace to the dignity of the Florida House of Representatives and he has behaved in a manner which is uncivil, undemocratic and un-American"
Just wondering how much time any of you have spent observing what goes on in State Legislatures?
"temper-tantrum-like behavior is intolerant and juvenile....disrespectful and shameless comments are a disgrace...........uncivil, undemocratic and un-American"
That pretty much sums up Standard Operating Procedure in most any State Legislature session, whether the issue is abortion or dog licenses.

I'll take your word for this. If as you depict, it is a less than honorable personal conduct one might expect of an elected representative of the people. Perhaps here to the people and media can have a positive influence? There is no need for this form of behavior. If we publicly decry it and make it an issue, perhaps the message will get through. One look at this forum suggests that the observed behavior is condoned by "wingnuts" left and right so what we see is the same action in the public forum. I also see that any attempt at reform will meet long and vile opposition, if not active then passive.

No, it's not condoned by me. Actually, it bugs me quite a bit. No wonder we have such a dysfunctional government.
This type of behavior for elected officials is completely unacceptable. Regardless of your political affiliation, I feel this type of nonsense is symptomatic of the disrespect and ugliness that is becoming far too prevalent, not only in the political arena, but in society in general.
Respect and personal responsibility are characteristics that seem to be vanishing from our culture. That's bad news for everyone.
I don't have any idea what this situation has to do with race and wondered why the headline even mentioned the woman's race. Or her gender for that matter.

In order to elicit an emotional response. It appears they succeeded.
