Wellington Lake will reopen for day use only in mid-May, providing some public access to the lake that was closed in October 2009. Details in this week's Flume.

Is there an exact opening date for day use yet?
I am looking forward to being able to access the lake and shoreline again.
It is interesting how they could run a business and not at least make sure they have proper permits / zoning etc to do it.
Sounds like they are getting their act together finally.
Let's hope it will stay open and in the future they improve the campsites from the reckless Bobcat scooping that has been done in the past to create sites. The site erosion problem is pretty bad.

That is awesome news, it used to be one of my favorite places to go canoeing with the kids/grandkids. Keep us posted please.

Paying to row around a lake is not my idea of fun. Lakes should not be private.
