Why would you think it would be "fun" for us dems? I rather like both of them (for different reasons) and think it's just sad.....they have been together a long time and made an interesting couple.

Mixed marriages politically can be different. Staying together only for his political career?

possibly....but I never really got that impression from them, not that I paid a whole lot of attention to their marriage and I don't read society news. I just thought they were a fun and interesting couple, they are so very different, not just politically.

I am saddened to hear this. I always imagined their relationship as one of the strongest around to continue to thrive in the face of adversity, being in the limelight constantly, and having such opposing political views. Three of their four kids are adults, but this has to be hard on the teenager. Hopefully, they weather this storm with dignity and grace in the public eye, and love and understanding for their kids in private.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

OK, I'm not big on rumors.....like SC posted, they seemed solid as a couple, but no one knows what the situation is in anothers marriage and relationship. So far they seem to be handling the media and their personal issues with decorum.
