Free Home Telephone Service Just A Call Away

We got one a few weeks ago from Costco ($180) and are still evaluating it. At least with Costco you can return it most any time if you aren't happy with it. For those familier with Magic Jack, I like the Ooma better because it is stand alone and doesn't require a computer to be on all the time like Magic Jack does.

I'd say at this point it works fine for normal home use. My wife is also using it for long conference calls with her company. She can't afford any glitches. Well, it does glitch at times where the voice gets garbled for a few seconds (maybe once a day). So far, I think she can live with it.

They do have a 5000 minute limit for outgoing calls.

It looked of some interest and was actually hoping someone would have had some experience with it.

I like VOIP and have had less outages with it than with a landline. My cell Carrier has a service for $10 month and you get a phone number.
