Cellphone transmissions may be responsible for a mysterious, worldwide die off in bees that has mystified scientists.

Don't shoot the messenger!
Nmysys, the title of the Fox News article, and your thread, states unambiguously that cell phones are the cause.
Cell Phones Caused Mysterious Worldwide Bee Deaths, Study Finds
Oh Oh, CellPhones Killing off Bees
I'm not angry (certainly not enough to shoot you!), I just won't let misrepresented science go without comment. Next time, a little further digging before posting would be most appreciated!
Rockdoc, had I had the time myself, I would've done a more proper review myself. That's why I labeled what I quickly found and posted as an "informal" review - it certainly had its flaws as well, but I think she covered the biggest problems pretty well. There's certainly nothing wrong with reporting a pilot study, as that is the basis of new lines of inquiry; however, the reviewers of this publication certainly should've required some further data and more rigorous analysis. Apidologie may not be a top-tier journal, but it should have higher standards than that.
And what is the media's goal with reporting on this paper, which was published over a year ago, and misrepresenting it as being conclusive proof of killing bees? That was my first thought. Is Rupert Murdoch trying to squeeze the phone companies for higher commercial charges, or did his cell phone bill go up and piss him off so he told his editors to post anything negative they could find and this was the best they could do? I could've found a better story...

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
